While Cathedrals Crumble

There's this incongruous persistence, this insistence in progress, propped up alongside of a simultaneous, ongoing existential pessimism. It's these hapless, unfounded, and provable vagaries in society, and in people, and the church, that is detached from anything real, anything tangible, anything fertile, that for some humans is an indicator that humanity stands either on the threshold of glorious fulfillment, or in the middle of the inertia-clock has already run down, or both, but definitely not neither.
Meanwhile, dawn and dusk, and midday (and night) are themselves simply full of dignity, and will remain so, without any of the confusion and meaninglessness that humans use to qualify the day's integrity. And it is in these unadorned angels that we can come to deeply know ourselves and give ourselves fully and maturely to others and God. And it's all it takes.
