The Tail Wags The Dog

In reality it is the hierarchy and the clergy and the middle-class people of any denomination are the ones who set the policies and parameters of churchly policies and practises. It might start out in a totally different cultural milieu, but it always and inevitably ends up here. And those who remain associated with these institutions and are not a member of one of these three groups wind up accepting and identifying with this conservative establishment. These are ignorant of the motivations and ideologies that lie behind that which contextualize their lives and that place restraints on it. Their own positions remain politically conservative. Any claims that are made in terms of being real among other people or open to God are purely illusory. These are nothing other than more complete submission to a familiar, established sloganism. The only thing vital and alive about it is its uncritical admiration for everything that is being willfully conceived and managed by those who are completely out of touch with the living God.
