Simple Resignation

In reality there is no way to ever give a perfectly satisfactory reason for contemplative faith to those who have not experienced it or who are not open to experiencing it. What does matter is one's perpetual openness to the lively, palpable interaction that is always possible when God chooses to act. And that openness in both self-deception and astonishing breakthrough is what indicates that contemplative experience and anticipation is what makes one most fully human...a receptacle of grace in the moment.
