Silence and Solitude

This is the internal geography where the heart can relax, expand, and take in the natural scenery afforded by the Word of God. Here there is not straining. Here there is no forcing anything. Here there are no useless abstractions or doctrines or speculations. This is a necessary condition for interiour freedom and liberation from trivial pursuits and unrealistic appetites of creativity, which in the end is only a fabrication...an illusion. The real fruit is resting in the embrace of God in love, which is more than enough...it is everything.
