Response To Tyranny

Along with the secularization of societies which took place in the West throughout the 1900's, so changed the manner in how people came to justify their thoughts and actions. The contemplative is in no way bound by these changes. Many of these are in no way reasonable even by their own standards. Today, for example, people are expected to prove their worth through increasing levels of sophistication and effectiveness. But it can only be with shame that those living in every Western country can regard the decisions of their governments and fellow citizens when it comes to the deadly practicality with which their policies - local, national and global - are formulated, funded, and carried out. In response to and in protest of the machinery of an organized efficiency that produces nothing but death at home and mass murder abroad can there be any doubt that the reality of the direct experience of God should personally compel one to produce some eggs, some hay, some fruit, provide the opportunity to come into the presence of God without external constraints, the restoration of various run down and dilapidated technologies, learn to enter into and work together with natural, wild biological processes, or corporately ultimately providing these for free in service to and as a model for the surrounding society?
