Pride

If you cannot conceive of your self outside of God, then there is no room for pride. How may pride take root when you are annihilated? The joy that comes from God being God embraces everything, To even speculate that you can be proud of this joy would be like saying that you are proud that the sun gives light or that you are proud that the lake is beautiful. They just are; pride has nothing to do with it. When you are buried and gone and the world has no memory of you, so it is when you are subsumed into God. And God alone is left. God loves, God knows, God rejoices. It is all-in-all. In that moment when you are first-delivered, and all inordinate desire is gone, there is only love.
