Power

The so-called revolutions put forth by people have never changed anything. Power passes from one enclave to another. But when the smoke clears the situation is always essentially as it was before. A minority of people remain in power exploiting everyone else for their own ends. There is the same greed. There is the same inequity. There is the same ambition. There is the same slanted hypocrisy. Nothing has changed. Genuine Christian experience though is fundamentally different. The direct experience of God demands full renunciation and sacrifice. Most Christians are people without this experience; they cling to the church in the same fashion that barnacles cling to the hull of a ship. Church leadership mostly has either a worldly take on revolution as outlined above, or form the dried outer crust of formality that is associated with a dying institution.

The greatest challenge of the day is how to bring about a revolution of the heart, a revolution that has to start with each one of us?
