Plain And Simple

The apophatic grasp of I Am cannot be adequately explained to anyone who has not had some aspect of the same experience.

It is a fact that there are objectively observable elements of this that are empirically repeatable and observable. Its recurrence is verifiable for nearly four millennia. But objectively examining this variety of religious experience and experiencing it are two different things.

It is the simplicity and sobriety and humility along with its integration into the normal Christian life that infused contemplation is about. The fact it is that it is in every way ordinary and those who have experienced these things are easily recognizable to one another, although they themselves will likely have a difficult time comparing notes.
