Language begets all arguments about God. It requires nothing to confess the articles of faith as set out by any religious body other than words. But real knowledge of God is always beyond concepts and direct. God's being is accessible through direct access or it is not knowable at all. The only prerequisite is self-emptying. It is then that God becomes real. Technically speaking it is through our admitted and humble lack of knowledge of God that God becomes fully present. Like Moses approaching the burning bush, the shoes of our opinions and rationalizations must be removed. Indeed, when it comes to contemplation it is best not to say or think about God at all.
