Contemplative Reality

The community of the direct experience of God - contemplatives. This means those who share the lived experience, even though they are separated. Even isolated. This has nothing to do with shared values, or rituals, or morality, or beliefs, and especially not doctrines or liturgies. And this is the witness of the Christian scriptures, as well as the Jewish ones, and everything in both - and each - since. This is difficult. It requires real formation. Both in the written witness and in the witness of this contemplative past, and not in just formulaic thinking about it. This has to do with the lived experience and response...the deep awareness of the immanence of the eschatological reality of the Gospels. This has nothing to do with a phony hermit mystique but of the necessity of being alone in order to become our selves, embraced by God. And to do this you need coaching and a certain resilient silence that is able to detoxify you from the enculturation that storms you every day, even, and especially , in your memories and their incessant, demanding obligations. When in reality. There are none.
