Being My Self

Contemplative life never aims to convert anyone to anything. Of course there is a great difference between contemplative life and non-contemplative ways of living even within the church, let alone between those who are conscious of God and those who are not. If I have borne witness to anything it is simply to say that there is a difference and this is it and that is all. And most definitely I want to be clear that if anyone believes that by living with a contemplative focus they are able to simply shrug off the problems that the world is facing is merely deluding themselves. I have never been a social commentator or prophetic. My only task is to be who I am, which is nothing more than a person who seeks God with respect and integrity and forthrightness, and who is aware that others too are doing likewise in their own way.
