You need to be very careful when assuming that simply because you like certain people or have a natural affinity toward them that they might be called to contemplation as you have been. This would be a grave miscalculation. Perhaps they have an inclination, and perhaps not. If they do, then it is best to allow God to take care of this development in them. Most certainly it is best to steer away from any long, involved discourse with them, especially the kind that is full of argument, or technicalities, or principles, which are never in anyone's interests, and which definitely have nothing to do with contemplation anyway. God is always able to become manifest to people anywhere and at any time. The uncertain qualities of human communication coupled with the skewed motivations of people cannot but compromise the focused love of God when it comes to drawing people into the compassionate embrace of the direct experience of God.
